BEVERLY, Mass. – Former Endicott men's ice hockey student-athlete Josh Bowes (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) has been named the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Statistical Champion for short-handed goals.
In 26 games played this past season, Bowes registered five short-handed goals (0.19 shg/g) to lead NCAA Division III in the category.
Meanwhile, overall in his career, Bowes has recorded a program-best nine short-handed goals in 102 games played. He registered one short-handed goal in 2015-16 and 2017-18, two in 2016-17, and five in 2018-19.
Bowes currently ranks second all-time in program history in points, fifth in points per game (1.15), first in goals, third in goals per game (0.55), sixth in game-winning goals and power play tallies, first in shorthanded goals, third in assists, seventh in assists per game (0.60), and fourth in games played.
2018-19 YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott went 16-9-2 overall and 9-8-0 in CCC play. The Gulls advanced to the CCC Semifinals before falling to Salve Regina University, 1-0, on the road.
