2018-19 NEW ENGLAND HOCKEY WRITERS' ASSOCIATION ALL-REGION TEAM
BEVERLY, Mass. – Former Endicott men's ice hockey student-athlete Josh Bowes (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) has earned New England Hockey Writers' Association All-Region honors, as announced by the organization earlier this week.
In 26 games played this past season, Bowes registered 19 goals and 22 assists for 41 points. He also had four power play goals, five short-handed goals and two game-winning tallies.
Bowes finished the year ranked among the top-15 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in the following categories: points (4th), goals (4th), assists (7th), power play goals (14th), short-handed goals (1st), and game-winning goals (10th).
Meanwhile, nationally, Bowes was eighth in points per game (1.58), ninth in goals per game (0.73), 24th in assists per game (0.85), first in short-handed goals (0.19 per game/5 total).
Bowes senior year eventually culminated in his signing an amateur tryout contract (ATO) with the Southern Professional Hockey League's Huntsville Havoc.
The Havoc signed Bowes after he completed 102 games in an Endicott sweater (2015-19) which featured 56 goals and 61 assists for 117 points. He also registered nine power play goals, 10 shorthanded goals, and four game-winning goals during that span.
Bowes currently ranks second all-time in program history in points, fifth in points per game (1.15), first in goals, third in goals per game (0.55), sixth in game-winning goals and power play tallies, first in shorthanded goals, third in assists, seventh in assists per game (0.60), and fourth in games played.

Endicott went 16-9-2 overall and 9-8-0 in CCC play. The Gulls advanced to the CCC Semifinals before falling to Salve Regina University, 1-0, on the road.
