No. 8/10 Salve Regina Bests Endicott, 5-1

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Endicott men's ice hockey team lost to No. 8/10 nationally ranked Salve Regina, 5-1, on Saturday Afternoon in conference action at Portsmouth Abby Ice Rink.

The Seahawks raced out to a 4-0 lead over the first 41 minutes of action and never trailed the rest of the way. 

Endicott was able to break up the shutout with a goal from James Winker (York, Maine) at 2:11 of the third. Tommy Besinger (Milton, Mass.) and Jake Simons (Coral Springs, Fla.) assisted on Winkler's second goal of the season.

Salve Regina goalie Blake Wojtala (Trenton, Mich.) made 33 saves to improve to 4-1-1 on the year, while Elijah Harris (Haverhill, Mass.) stopped 27 shots in his collegiate debut.
