BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman forward Ross Olsson (Billerica, Mass.) has earned All-Region honors from the New England Hockey Writers' Association, as announced by the organization earlier today.
Olsson, who is the first student-athlete in program history to earn All-Region honors from the New England Hockey Writers' Association, finished his freshman campaign with 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points. Olsson ranked second in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast in points and assists, sixth in goals, and first overall in short-handed goals (2) and game-tying goals (1).
Nationally, Olsson currently ranks first in points per game among rookies (1.36), No. 10 in points per game overall, No. 36 in goals per game (0.55), No. 16 in assists per game (0.82), and fifth (tied) in short-handed goals.
Endicott (16-9-2) finished as runners-up in the ECAC Northeast championship game in the program's first NCAA varsity season in 2015-16.
