Men’s Ice Hockey Doubles Up Bowdoin, 6-3

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Endicott men's ice hockey team scored a pair of goals in every period to claim a 6-3 win over Bowdoin College on Saturday afternoon at Alfond Rink. Endicott has now won five games in a row and also remains unbeaten over its last six games (5-0-1).

The Gulls raced out to a 3-0 advantage shortly into the second period via goals from Ross Olsson (Billerica, Mass.), Josh Bowes (Sturgeon County, Alberta, Canada), and Thomas Daniels (St. Louis, Mo.).

Bowdoin went on to answer Daniels' tally – which came at 1:07 of the second – with back-to-back markers from Chris Wallace (Nesconset, N.Y.), and Austin Ricci (Windham, N.H.) at 2:24 and 3:13, respectively, to cut the Polar Bears deficit to one goal.

Endicott freshman Cam Bleck (Lake Forest, Ill.) capped the scoring in second period and reclaimed the Gulls' two-goal cushion on the scoreboard with his third marker of the season at 18:50 on feeds by Bowes and Connor Costello (Nottingham, N.H.).

The Polar Bears didn't go quietly in the third as Camil Blanchet (Swanzey, N.H.) brought the game back within one goal at the 4:10 mark, but John Carricato (Ridge, N.Y.) responded with his first career collegiate goal for Endicott only 2:26 later to put the brakes on a comeback attempt by Bowdoin.

Lloyd Hayes (West Newbury, Mass.) sealed the win with the all-important insurance goal at the 11:26 mark of the third.
