Endicott Qualifies for CCC Championship in the Spring

GRAFTON, Mass. - With only the top four teams qualifying for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship in the spring, the Endicott golf team finished third in the fall qualifier to lock in a spot in the championship field.

The Gulls finished third after shooting a combined +21, 309 on the 6,474 yard, par 72 Highfields Golf & Country Club. Finishing in first was Western New England with a score of +14, 302, while Nichols finished second, firing a score of +18, 306. Rounding out the championship field is Roger Williams after the Hawks finished +34, 322.

Roger Williams secured the spot after narrowly edging out Wentworth by a stroke. The University of New England finished in sixth while newcomer Gordon finished in seventh.

Leading the way for Endicott was senior Christopher Billings (Portland, Maine), who finished second overall with a +2, 74, just one stroke back of the winner. Fellow senior Carter Knox (Hinesburg, Vt.) tied for ninth with a +5, 77, while Kenneth Tuttle (Gorham, Maine) shot a +6, 78 to finish tied for 11th in the 34 man field. 

Rounding out the scoring for the Gulls was Connor Brown (Granby, Conn.) and Dylan Seeber (New Hartford, N.Y.), who finished tied for 16th and tied for 22nd, respectively.

CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

Endicott, Nichols, Roger Williams, Western New England

By finishing first overall, Western New England has earned the right to host the spring championship.

WHAT'S NEXT

With a bid to the spring championship locked up, Endicott will take a week off to get ready for the UNE Invitational on September 27. The Invitational will be hosted at the Cape Arundel Golf Club in Kennebunk, Maine, and will serve as the final tune up before the NEIGA Championship in late October.
