Endicott Finishes Tied for Third at Bowdoin Invitational

RESULTS

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Endicott golf team got their 2018 season underway this weekend in impressive fashion. The Gulls tied for third overall in the 12 team field, and tied for the top finish for a DIII school with Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Nichols. 

Endicott, with a team score of 304, +34, trailed only St. Anselm (297, +27) and Providence College (300, +30) after two days of play on the Brunswick Golf Club. The 6,601-yard course plays as a par 72.

Seniors Carter Knox (Hinesburg, Vt.) and Christopher Billings (Portland, Maine) led the way for the Gulls this weekend as both finished with top 10 showings. Knox finished in a four-way tie for second overall after carding rounds of 74 and 75, to finish +5 with a score of 149. Billings finished one stroke back in a four-way tie for sixth in the 63 man field. Playing his home course, the Maine native shot identical rounds of 75 to finish +6 with a two-day final of 150.

Kenneth Tuttle (Gorham, Maine) finished tied for 20th overall after shooting a two-day total of 154 (75-79). Connor Brown (Granby, Conn.) and Dylan Seeber (New Hartford, N.Y.) closed the scoring for the Gulls as the duo tied for 32nd overall with scores of 159.

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Gulls will compete in the Duke Nelson Invitational next weekend. The two-day tournament will be hosted at the Ralph Myhre Golf Club in Middlebury, Vt. This will serve as the final tune-up before the CCC Fall Qualifier to be held on Sept. 19.
