BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman Tyler Smith (Morgan, VT) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Last Thursday at the CCC Fall Qualifier, Smith finished second overall out of 35 competitors by shooting a round of 72 (+1) to guide the Gulls to a first place team finish. Smith's performance helped Endicott defeat conference rival Western New England by 11 strokes, and also aided the Gulls in winning the CCC Fall Qualifier for the first time since 2014-15. Endicott will now host the CCC Championship in the spring with its win last Thursday over the rest of the conference field.
