Endicott Finishes 18th at Duke Nelson Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Led by Tyler Smith's (Morgan, Vt.) two-round total of 151 (76-75), Endicott finished 18th at the Duke Nelson Invitational on Sunday. Smith has now finished as Endicott's top golfer in both events on the season.

Winning the Invitational was Babson, a team that posted a score of 572 over the course of the event. The Beavers narrowly edged out Endicott's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Western New England as the Golden Bears finished with a team score of 573, just one shot back.

Endicott shot a two-day total of 618 as 2017 CCC Golfer of the Year Athan Goulos (Peabody, Mass.) finished second for the Gulls, posting a score of 155 (78-77). Ben Palazzo (Farmington, Conn.) tied for 64th with Goulos after also shooting 155 (80-75) on the Ralph Mhyre Golf Course. Closing out the scoring for the Gulls was Dylan Seeber (New Hartford, N.Y.) with a score of 158 (79-79) and Drew Benshoff (Concord, Mass.) with a two-day total of 159 (79-80).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott returns to action next weekend when the Gulls travel to Bangor, Maine to compete in the Husson Invitational. The Gulls finished second at the Invitational in the fall of 2016 after finishing second at the event in the fall of 2013.
