Erlichman Runner Up at ECAC Championship
HAMPDEN, Mass. – Freshman Nick Erlichman (Shrewsbury, Mass.) shot a one-under-par 71 on Sunday, earning himself runner-up accolades and leading the Endicott golf team to a fourth place finish at the 2011 ECAC New England Division III Championship at Hampden Country Club.

The Gulls four scorers shot a combined 306, just two strokes back of third-placed Western New England University in a 16-team event that was shortened to one day after Saturday’s rain.

Erlichman has now finished as the top scorer in three tournaments this year for the Gulls. His classmate Brett Malboeuf shot a 76, good for a 13th place tie, while junior captain Jackson Wyman (Falmouth, Maine) was just one shot back in a tie for 17th. Sophomore Ian Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) picked up the final scoring spot for Endicott, tying for 44th with an 82.

The event was won by Salem State, who shot a 296 and boasted the overall champion Nick Zolotas (70). Husson finished two strokes off their pace, with a 298. Elms College (311) rounded out the top five.

The Gulls will be right back on the course today when they compete at the University of New England Invitational.
