Gulls Take Third at CCC Championship
WORCESTER, Mass. – Led by a fifth place individual finish by sophomore Nick Erlichman (Shrewsbury, Mass.), the Endicott Gulls golf team had a third place showing at Thursday’s Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Invitational tournament at Green Hills Golf Club.
Erlichman, who was Endicott’s top-finisher for the second straight week, shot a 3-over-par 75 in the one day tournament that played at 6,483 yards. He held sole possession of the fifth spot overall, while fellow Gull Jackson Wyman (Falmouth, Maine) finished tied for seventh with a 77.

Freshman Brett Malboeuf also finished in the top ten for Endicott, tying for ninth place just a stroke behind Wyman.
Stephen Price (Medway, Mass.) continued to play well, as the sophomore shot an 81 to finish tied for fourteenth place. Jack Carroll (West Hartford, Conn.) was the fifth scorer for Endicott and his 88 placed him in a tie for 24th overall.

Endicott finished with a score of 311, five strokes back of University of New England. They were narrowly edged out by Western New England, who shot a 305 and who claimed Eric Hedberg, the top finisher overall (73). Nichols College took fourth place with a 321 stroke finish, followed by Wentworth (325) and Roger Williams (363).

With a top-four showing in this CCC qualifying event, the Gulls will have a spot to compete at the 2011-12 CCC Championship Tournament, set for a date to be determined next spring.
The Gulls will be back on the course this weekend in Gorham, Maine for the Southern Maine Fall Classic. Tee-time is set for 12:00 pm at the Gorham Country Club.
