CRANSTON, R.I. – In one of their last tune-ups before the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship tournament, the Endicott men’s golf team took a 9th place finish at the Johnson & Wales Invitational held over the past two days at Cranston Country Club.

The thirteen teams competing played 18 holes on Saturday afternoon at a par of 71 and on Sunday were limited to just 9 holes, with par at 35.

Sophomore Ian Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) took fifth place overall in a field of 65 golfers and had one of the best second days of the field, shooting a one-over 36. Teal ended the competition at +9.

Jackson Wyman (Falmouth, Maine) tied for 22nd place overall and fellow captain Jack Carroll (W. Hartford, Conn.) was two strokes behind him and tied for 30th place overall.

Sophomore Dan Sullivan (South Hadley, Mass.) and freshman Brian Gallo (Trumbull, Conn.) also saw action for the Gulls.

The event was won by Husson University, who beat second place Rhode Island College by one stroke.
