IPSWICH, MA - The Endicott College golf team lost its match yesterday to Salem State 407-386 at Ipswich Country Club. The Gulls were led by freshman Peter Weatherby (Portsmouth, RI) who shot 77; he was followed by Nick Turczak (Housatonic, MA) 80, Garett Seney (Bow, NH) 80, Drew Sullivan (Katonah, NY) 83 and Alex Lawner 88.
The course played very tough in the windy conditions and the experienced upperclassmen of Division III powerhouse Salem State proved to be too much for EC. The golf team will be back in action Monday when they compete in the Ambassador's Cup at the Colonial Country Club in Wakefield. The Gulls are set to tee off at 2:00 p.m.
