The Endicott men's golf team finished 4th at the University of Southern Maine's 2004 Invitational at the Sable Oaks Golf Club in South Portland yesterday.
The Gulls finished with a team total of 338, led by freshman Mitch Cable who fired a team low 81. Endicott had their hands full on the windy and hard 6,400 yard golf course. As the day progressed all the players became comfortable with the fast greens and played the back nine 3 to 4 shots less.
The Gulls look forward to the University of Southern Maine's Fall Classic on October 2nd and are gearing up for the CCC Conference Championship on Sept. 22 at Kettle Brook Golf Club. Juniors Brian Gill and Matt George will be leading the team to the Conference Championship where the players are setting their goals on a top 5 finish.
