Middlebury Slips Past Men’s Basketball, 86-81

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — The Endicott men's basketball team lost to Middlebury, 86-81, on Sunday afternoon at Pepin Gymnasium.

Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls with 21 points (8-16 FG, 2-3 3PT, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

Endicott also saw Dillon Grant (Dennis, Mass.), Adam Lux (Arundel, Maine), Cameron Ray (Lowell, Mass.), and Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) all score in double-figures (18, 12, 10, 10).

After trailing 43-35 at halftime, the Gulls eventually claimed a hard-fought 78-77 lead in the contest with 1:02 remaining on a second-chance opportunity from Grant.

From there, Middlebury countered with a mid-range jump shot off a pick-and-roll and made seven free throws on eight attempts to close out the win.
