Roger Williams Clips Men’s Basketball, 86-82

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Endicott men's basketball team lost to Roger Williams, 86-82, on Saturday evening in conference action at the Campus Recreation Center.

Keith Brown (Pelham, N.H.) and Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine) paced the Gulls on offense with 30 points and 27 points, respectively. Brown also added six assists and three blocks to his stat line, while McDevitt had five rebounds and two assists.

Joe Shehadi (Dorset, Vt.) also compiled 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals to round out the list of individual highlights.

Trailing 78-71 with 2:46 remaining in the matchup, the Gulls clawed their way back into the contest with an 11-5 run over a 2:36 span to make it an 83-82 game (10-secs to play).

Brown and McDevitt fueled the run with six and five points, respectively, but Roger Williams converted three of its four free throw opportunities down the stretch to come away with the victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Despite the loss, Endicott holds a 29-10 advantage in the all-time series.
  • The Gulls are 6-4 on the road this season.
  • Endicott held a 41-37 advantage at halftime. It's only the fourth time this season the Gulls have lost after leading at halftime (15-4 overall).
