BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's basketball team fell to Roger Williams University, 83-78, in conference action on Saturday evening at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Down 81-69 with 2:24 left to play, Endicott brought the game within three points, 81-78 (54-secs), via a 9-0 run that was spearheaded by Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine), Joe Shehadi (Dorset, Vt.), and Mathew Catizone (Woburn, Mass.).

Shehadi got the Gulls going during the spurt with a pair of free throws at the 1:54 mark, while McDevitt converted an and-one at 1:40 and buried a pair of free throws at 1:04 to make it an 81-76 contest. Catizone then followed with a tough make at the rim with 54-seconds to play to cut the matchup to one possession.

After a steal by John Homsey (Windham, N.H.) at the other end of the floor, Endicott had two chances to tie the game with a three-pointer but both opportunities missed the mark, eventually leading to Jake Heaton's (Shelton, Conn.) game-clinching free throws with four seconds to go.

Keith Brown (Pelham, N.H.) guided Endicott offensively with 24 points and seven rebounds. The Gulls also received 15 points from Catizone and 13 points and eight rebounds via Shehadi.
