Men's Basketball Team To Host Special Olympics Basketball Event On Saturday

SPECIAL OLYMPICS SHOWCASE FLYER

BEVERLY, Mass. — Senior guard Stephen Basden (Lynn, Mass.) and the Endicott men's basketball team will be hosting a "Special Olympics Showcase" program on Saturday, February 11th at 3:00 p.m. as the Gulls take on Roger Williams University inside MacDonald Gymnasium.

During halftime of the matchup between the Gulls and Hawks, there will be a Special Olympics basketball game for the group from Lynn, Mass.

The Gulls will also host a bake sale, raffle, and meet & greet with the team with all proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics organization.

BACK STORY

Basden and his mother, Dalene, have been running the Lynn Special Olympics organization for the last 20 years. Their program, with the help of volunteers, generous donors, and support from family and friends, has impacted the lives of over 300 kids and adults with developmental, physical, mental and cognitive delays. Throughout the years, they have added over five sports with two or more teams in each including their beloved sport of basketball.
