ECAC Honors Kamahl Walker with Co-Player of the Week Award

DANBURY, Conn. – Endicott sophomore guard Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) added Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Co-Player of the Week honors to his championship week accolades after earning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week earlier in the week. Endicott (23-5) is coming off winning their sixth CCC title with an impressive 90-60 triumph over Wentworth.

Walker scored a total of 73 points (24.3 ppg) in three CCC Tournament games including a career-high 32 points and eight rebounds in an 87-80 overtime victory over Eastern Nazarene in the semifinals and another 27 points, seven rebounds, and four steals in the championship game. Walker shares ECAC Player of the Week honors with Westfield State senior forward Grant Cooper.

Walker is one point shy of scoring 500 points in his sophomore campaign which would make him just the second player to achieve that mark in a single season. Jon D'Orlando '98 scored over 500 points twice in his three-year career at Endicott in both the 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons.

Endicott's sophomore leading scorer was named CCC Co-Player of the Year and All-CCC First Team after earning conference player of the week twice in 2014-15. Walker has helped Endicott to 23 wins this season which ties their program record from the 2003-04 season.

Endicott travels to #17 Stockton for a Friday night showdown with the Ospreys in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. in Galloway, N.J.
