BEVERLY, Mass-The Endicott men's basketball team improved to 10-4 in a CCC matchup with New England College. The Gulls jumped out to an early lead, while, holding the visitors to 33% shooting in the first half. When halftime arrived Endicott had built a 41-27 lead that, they would not relinquish on their way to a 83-60 victory.
NEC kept the game managable in the first half by getting to the foul line and making 13 of 19 from the stripe. In the second half, Endicott fouled less and NEC did not find another way to mount a comback. Patrick Quinn and Kingsley Onyechi shared top scoring honors for NEC with 13 a piece.
Endicott continues to improve on both ends of the floor as they held NEC to just 1-12 shooting from the arc and 31% from the field for the game. The Gulls had 12 players contribute to the scoring. Matt George had 18 points. Zach Ellis finished with 12 on four three pointers. Sophomore, Samuel Evans tallied 11 points and 5 rebounds. The Gulls shot nearly 50% from the field once again.
Endicott plays their final non-league game of the season this Saturday at home against one of the best teams in the region, Springfield College. The game starts at 3pm.
