Endicott Gets 13th Win of Season

Feb. 3, 2004

Box Score

The Endicott Gulls jumped out to a fourteen point lead and were able to hold on in the second half to beat the fiesty Northeasters from the University of New England 73-60. The Gulls used their full court press to turn the visitors over early in the game and create an uptempo pace to the game. UNE attempted to stay with the Gulls from the three point arc and by attacking the offensive glass. UNE was only able to convert on 4-17 threes but grabbed 25 offensive rebounds. In the end the Endicott's ability to hold UNE to 37% shooting from the field and success in creating turnovers was enough to beat a spirited conference opponent.

Leading the way for Endicott was Jeremy Currier with 19 points including 3 3-pointers. Nemanja Marinkovic added 14, while, Matt George contributed 13 points. UNE got 16 from Matt McManus, 15 from Brandon Berthiaume and 10 from Mark Regis. These teams will face off in a rematch at UNE on February 21st. Endicott's next game is against New England College in Henniker, NH on Thursday at 7:30pm.
