UNE Edges Field Hockey, 1-0

BIDDEFORD, Maine. — The Endicott field hockey team fell to the University of New England (UNE), 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Blue Bolt Field. 

Strong defensive performances by both teams left the game deadlocked at zero until Madi Robito (Pelham, N.H.) found the back of the net at the 48:47 mark to give the Nor'Easters the eventual win.

Meanwhile, Brianna Anslow (Clifton Park, N.Y. ) stopped two shots in the setback (11-3). 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Despite the loss, Endicott still leads the all-time series over UNE (19-17). 
  • The Gulls are 5-2 away from The Nest this season. 
  • Endicott allowed its first goal in conference play.

Endicott (12-3, 4-1 CCC) visits No. 9 nationally ranked Babson on Tuesday, October 25 at 6 PM. UNE (9-8, 6-0 CCC) travels to WPI on Wednesday, October 26 at 4:30 PM.
