BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team is set to host Wilson College for the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday, November 13 at 4 PM on North Field. Here's a preview of Wednesday's contest.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- This is the second year in a row that the Gulls will host an NCAA Field Hockey Tournament contest. The Gulls defeated St. Joseph's (Maine), 3-1, last year in the first round at North Field.
- Endicott will make back to back NCAA tournament appearances for the first time since 2011 and 2012.
- Wednesday's game will be the first meeting between Endicott and Wilson.
- Endicott received an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament after defeating The University of New England, 3-2 in the Commonwealth Coast Championship game on Saturday, November 9.
- Wilson advanced to the NCAA tournament with a 1-0 win over Keystone in the CSAC Championship game on Saturday, November 9. This will be the first appearance in the NCAA tournament in program history for Wilson.
WHAT'S NEXT
The winner of Wednesday's contest will advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and will face Kean University at Middlebury College on Saturday, November 16.
