BEVERLY, Mass. – Tied 1-1 late in the fourth quarter, Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) buried her fifth tally of the season with less than four minutes remaining in regulation to lift Endicott past Roger Williams, 2-1, in a hard-fought conference matchup on Saturday afternoon at North Field.
Jaylin Grabau (Lynnfield, Mass.) set up the game-winning tally after she corralled a loose ball near the right post and swiftly one-touched a pass back to a wide-open Poulin. From there, Poulin rifled a low shot on an angle from the right post through a bevy of traffic into the left corner of the cage to keep Endicott undefeated in conference play (3-0).
Meanwhile, in the second quarter, Grabau got the Gulls on the scoreboard first with her sixth goal of the season at the 29:57 mark of the contest.
Despite the 2-1 score, Endicott dominated play outshooting the Hawks, 43-4. The Gulls also held a 14-1 advantage in penalty corners.
