BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott field hockey student-athlete Kristen McCarthy (Danvers, Mass.) was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-American First Team, as announced by the NFHCA on Thursday morning.

McCarthy had an impressive season for the Gulls as she notched a team-leading 29 goals, 17 assists, and 75 points. Her goal, assist, and point totals all set new single-season program records. McCarthy was also named CCC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and to the All-CCC First Team, Longstreth/NFHCA Division III New England East Region First Team, and Synapse Sports Division III All-American Second Team for her efforts. Nationally, McCarthy finished the season third in points per game (3.26) and seventh in goals per game (1.26).

McCarthy is the fourth Gull in program history to be named to either the Longstreth/NFHCA First or Second Team and last time an Endicott field hockey student-athlete was named to the First Team was Emily Sawchuck in 2014.

Endicott (18-5, 12-0 CCC) finished the 2018 season in a historic way as the Gulls went undefeated in conference play, captured the CCC Championship title for the first time since 2012, and posted the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament victory with a 3-1 win over Saint Joseph's of Maine.
