Champigny, Molinare, Williams Earn CCC Athlete of the Week Honors

CCC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team saw the trio of Julie Champigny (Acton, Mass.), Cameron Molinare (Simsbury, Conn.), and Addi Williams (Pittsfield, Maine) sweep the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) athlete of the week awards, as announced by the conference office on Monday. Champigny was named Offensive Player of the Week, Molinare earned Defensive Player of the Week, and Williams was tabbed Rookie of the Week. 

Champigny netted the game-winning goal during the CCC Championship game as the Gulls picked up a 1-0 victory over the University of New England to earn their first conference title since 2012. 

Molinare was a key member of an Endicott defense that allowed no goals against during the conference tournament. She also made a big defensive save during the second half of the championship game to keep the Nor'easters off the board.   

Williams tallied four goals to lead the Gulls to a 9-0 win over Salve Regina during the CCC Semifinal round on November 1.   

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (17-4, 12-0 CCC) hosts Saint Joseph's (Maine) for the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 6 PM.
