2018 CCC ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE
ENDICOTT FIELD HOCKEY ALL-CONFERENCE HISTORY
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team saw seven members earn Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) postseason honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday. The Gulls saw two major award winners as Kristen McCarthy (Danvers, Mass.) was named Co-Offensive Player of the Year and Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) was tabbed as Rookie of the Year. McCarthy, Poulin, Cameron Molinare (Simsbury, Conn.), and Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) all earned All-CCC First Team honors, while Addi Williams (Pittsfield, Maine), Blake Braman (Clinton, Conn.), and Abby Carter (Richmond, Vt.) were named to the All-CCC Second Team.
CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR/ ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM
Kristen McCarthy | Jr. | F | Danvers, Mass.
McCarthy currently leads the Gulls with 29 goals and 15 assists for 69 points. In conference play, McCarthy leads the CCC in assists (10), points (54), game-winning goals (4) and is tied for first in goals (22). Nationally, she is third in points per game (3.63), tied for second in goals per game (1.42), and 10th in assists per game (0.79).
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR/ ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM
Sydney Poulin | Fr. | M | Watertown, Mass.
Poulin made an immediate impact in the midfield for the Gulls as she is a key factor in how Endicott moves the ball from the defensive to offensive zone so quickly. She has recorded a total of 10 goals and 10 assists for 30 points throughout the season.
ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM
Cameron Molinare | Sr. | B | Simsbury, Conn.
Molinare is a key member of an Endicott defense that recorded seven shutouts throughout the season and allowed only 15 goals against in conference play. She also contributed on the offensive end of the field with one goal and one assist for three points. This is Molinare's first All-CCC First Team honor.
Taylor Farrin | So. | GK | Danvers, Mass.
Farrin currently has a 14-4 record in net for the Gulls this season. She has recorded seven shutouts and leads the CCC in save percentage (.779), goals against (29), and GAA (1.66). This is Farrin's second career All-CCC First Team accolade.
ALL-CCC SECOND TEAM
Addi Williams | Fr. | F | Pittsfield, Maine
Williams has had an impressive rookie season for the Gulls as she is second on the team in goals (18) and points (39). She registered four multi-goal games during the season, all against conference opponents. This is Williams' first All-CCC nod.
Blake Braman | So. | M | Clinton, Conn.
Braman picked up her first All-CCC honor after a great season in the midfield for the Gulls. She appeared in all 18 of 19 games with 17 starts. Throughout the season she recorded three goals and two assists for eight points.
Abby Carter | Fr. | B | Richmond, Vt.
Rookie defender Carter quickly made her way into the lineup as she started in all 18 games she has played in so far this season. She was part of a back line that recorded seven shutouts and allowed only 39 total goals against (15 in conference).
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott clinched the regular season championship and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament with an undefeated 12-0 mark in conference play. The Gulls will host either Salve Regina or Roger Williams on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 PM for the CCC Semifinals.
