BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott field hockey team welcomed No. 19 Amherst to North Field on Thursday evening and were ultimately handed a tough 3-1 loss by the Mammoths.

Amherst took an early 1-0 lead at the 9:48 mark when Natalie Hobbs (Wilmington, Del.) ran the ball into the circle and took a hard shot that found the back of the net.

Both teams continued to battle throughout the second half as Endicott looked for the tying goal.
