Farrin Earns Longstreth/NFHCA Defensive Player of the Week Award

LONGSTRETH/NFHCA PLAYER OF THE WEEK RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass.- Endicott field hockey student-athlete Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) was named Longstreth/NFHCA Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Wednesday afternoon.

Farrin recorded three shutouts in net for the Gulls during the week She started with eight saves during a 6-0 victory over No. 13 MIT and then made one stop against both Gordon (8-0 win) and Roger Williams (6-0 win). With the three shutouts, Farrin now has held opponents scoreless in eight games during her career. 

Earlier in the week, Farrin was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in goal.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (6-1, 3-0 CCC) hosts No. 19 Amherst on Thursday, September 20 for a 7 PM contest.
