SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Endicott field hockey team traveled to Western New England for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) game on Tuesday evening and registered a 2-1 victory.

The Golden Bears got on the board first with a tally from Taylor Klesyk (Hamden, Conn.) at the 3:42 mark.

Endicott responded quickly, however, less than two minutes later when Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) tied the game up at 1-1.

The Gulls continued to pressure offensively, but the Western New England defense stood strong throughout the remainder of the first half.

In the 49th minute, Endicott's Kristen McCarthy (Danvers, Mass.) netted what would be the eventual game-winner with help from Lauren Whitney (Poway, Calif.)
