Emylee Wood Named to the Longstreth/NFHCA DIII All-American Second Team

LONGSTRETH/NFHCA DIVISION III ALL-AMERICAN RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass.- Endicott field hockey student-athlete Emylee Wood (Kensington, N.H.) was named to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-American Second Team, as announced by the NFHCA communications office on Wednesday afternoon.

Wood anchored a defense that recorded four shutouts and had a GAA of just 1.30 throughout the season. She also contributed on the offensive end of the field with seven goals and three assists for 17 points. 

Wood garnered several other postseason accolades this season, including Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Co-Defensive Player of the Year, All-CCC First Team, and Longstreth/NFHCA Division III New England East All-Region First Team honors.

Endicott finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 17-4 and 11-1 in CCC play. The Gulls made it to the CCC Championship game where they were handed a close 2-1 loss by the University of New England.
