2015 Endicott Field Hockey Season Preview

2015 Video Season Preview 

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team begins its 2015 season at home against Colby-Sawyer at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2. Following their season opener against the Chargers, the Gulls play host to Babson (Sept. 4, 4 PM) before heading on the road to face Salem St. (Sept. 8, 6 PM). The 2015 home campaign features NEWMAC opponents, Babson and MIT, with the addition of NESCAC foes, Colby and Bates. Now, here's a look at the full schedule and the upcoming season. 

RETURNING CAST: Senior midfielder Ashleigh Allen (Glastonbury,Conn.) returns as a 2014 All-CCC First Team and NFHCA All-New England East First Team selection along with fellow senior All-CCC Second Team member Morgan Bresnahan (South Burlington, Vt.). Cheka Ventura (Lawrence, Mass.) is back in goal as the reigning CCC Rookie of the Year after also picking up NFHCA All-New England East Second Team honors. The team is captained by Allen, senior Kristen O'Brien (New Boston, N.H.), and junior Emily Paladino (North Reading, Mass.).

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: With eight of 11 games in September on the home turf, clear your schedule to cheer on your Gulls  vs. UMass Dartmouth (Sept. 10, 7PM), Colby (Sept. 13, 1PM), Roger Williams (Sept. 19, 1 PM), the University of New England (Sept. 22, 7PM), vs. MIT (Sept. 24, 7 PM), Western New England (Sept. 30, 4PM), Bates (Oct. 7, 7PM), Salve Regina (Oct. 10, 1PM), Gordon (Oct. 20, 4PM), and Nichols on Senior Day on October 31 at 1 p.m.

ON THE ROAD: Endicott's remaining away contests include Salve Regina (Sept. 16, 6PM), Nichols (Sept. 26, 6PM), Gordon (Oct. 3, 11 AM), University of New England (Oct. 14, 6PM), Roger Williams (Oct. 17, 4PM), and Western New England on October 28 at 4 p.m.

PRESEASON PLAUDITS: Endicott was picked to finish first in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Poll.  

YEAR IN REVIEW: The Gulls finished their 2014 season as runners-up in the CCC Field Hockey Championship with a 16-5 record overall and 9-3 mark in conference play.
