GAMEDAY CENTRAL: Endicott Travels To Husson This Saturday (12 PM)

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott football team (5-1, 3-0 CCC Football) will visit Husson University (2-4, 2-1 CCC Football) this Saturday at 12 PM. Here's a preview of this weekend's conference matchup.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Husson is 1-0 all-time against Endicott. The Eagles defeated the Gulls in the first-ever contest between the two programs on September 30, 2017 by a 28-7 score in Beverly, Massachusetts. [BOX SCORE]
  • Husson is coming off of a 31-21 Homecoming Weekend loss to the University of New England last Saturday. The Eagles, who are 1-2 at home this season, will take on an Endicott squad this Saturday that has only played one road game so far fall. Under head coach Paul McGonagle, the Gulls are 4-1 away from The Nest under his year-and-a-half at the helm of the program.
  • Defensively, Husson is second-to-last in the league in points allowed per game (34.0) and total points given up (204). The Eagles have only held one opponent under 30 points scored all season (W, 28-12, vs. Becker, 10/5).
  • Tyler Halls (Lisbon, Maine) is a dynamic weapon for the Eagles as the junior wide receiver ranks first in the conference in receptions (44) and receptions per game (7.3). Halls also is positioned fourth in yards (563) and yards per game (93.8), ninth in yards per catch (12.8) and No. 10 in touchdowns (3) in the league.
  • After going a perfect 7-for-7 in the red zone last week against Curry (W, 61-34), the Gulls rank No. 8 among all NCAA Division III programs in red zone offense (.931) and first in the conference. Endicott is the only program in the league to score on more than 90-percent of its chances in the red zone this season.
