BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott football student-athletes Nick DiCairano (Trumbull, Conn.), Kha-lil Goodman (Bellmore, N.Y.), and William Rivera (Orangeburg, N.Y.) have all been named to the New England Football Writers College Division All-New England Team. It was announced by the organization earlier today.
NICK DICAIRANO | JUNIOR | TRUMBULL, CONN.
DiCairano led all Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) placekickers in field goals made (12), field goals attempted (13), field goal percentage (92%, min. seven attempts), longest field goal made (45 yards), and points (80). He also ranked second in PATs made (44) and PATs attempted (46), and fifth in PAT percentage (96%).
Meanwhile, his 80 points scored on the season finished second among all positions in the conference. He was only one of two student-athletes in the league to register 80 or more points.
Nationally, DiCairano ranks second overall in field goal percentage, No. 17 in field goals made per game (1.09), No. 63 in total points scored, and No. 95 in scoring.
KHA-LIL GOODMAN | JUNIOR | BELLMORE, N.Y.
The 2018 CCC Football Offensive Lineman of the Year, Goodman anchored an offensive line that currently ranks No. 8 in all of NCAA Division III in sacks allowed.
Goodman's play also led Endicott's offense to league-best marks in passing yards (2,642), passing yards per game (240.2), and passing touchdowns (29).
Additionally, the Gulls finished second in the conference in points (391), points per game (35.5), total offense (4,771), yards per game (433.7), rushing yards (2,129), rushing yards per game (193.5), and rushing touchdowns (19).
WILLIAM RIVERA | SENIOR | ORANGEBURG, N.Y.
In 11 games played this season, Rivera compiled 114.0 tackles (66 solo, 48 assisted, 10.4 per game), two sacks and a fumble recovery for the Gulls.
Rivera led the conference in tackles and assisted tackles, and finished second in solo tackles and tackles per game. He currently ranks No. 25 in the country in solo tackles and No. 32 in total tackles.
Along with those merits, Rivera wrapped up his career ranked tied for first all-time in program history in unassisted tackles (186) and second in assisted tackles (155) and total tackles (341).
YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott finished the 2018 season at 7-4 overall (5-1 CCC Football). Under first-year head coach Paul McGonagle this year, the Gulls finished with a winning record for the first time since 2013 and also made their first playoff appearance since 2013 with a New England Bowl bid against Merchant Marine on November 17.
