Football Thumps UNE, 66-38

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Endicott football team tied the program record for most points in a game on Saturday afternoon in their 66-38 victory over the University of New England (UNE) at Blue Storm Stadium.

Endicott achieved the feat by producing 659 yards of total offense via 393 yards rushing (fourth all-time) and 266 yards passing. The Gulls' 659 yards of total offense also ranks second all-time in program history.

The running game was highlighted by Greg Ruff (Saco, Maine) who compiled career-highs in yards (120) and touchdowns (2). Meanwhile, Hakim Fleming (Bridgeport, Conn.) also tallied 102 yards on 14 attempts (7.3 average) to join Ruff as the first duo to both rush for 100 yards or more in a game since November 3, 2012 against MIT (Mike Wheeler '13 – 132 yards | Jared DiBiase '13 – 107 yards). Overall, Endicott has now witnessed two running backs rush for 100 yards or more in a contest four times in program history (10/13/18, 11/3/2012, 11/6/2010, 9/17/2005).

Along with Ruff and Fleming, quarterback Joe Kalosky (Plymouth, Conn.) rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown of his own, which included a 68-yard TD dash in the third quarter (Endicott 52-17 | 6:32 on the clock). Kalosky also completed 18 out of his 32 pass attempts for 228 yards and two touchdowns.

Freshman dual-threat Shea McManaway (Lisbon, Conn.) caught two touchdowns (four receptions, 59 yards) and threw for another to give the Gulls a 59-31 lead at the 13:20 mark of the fourth quarter.

Endicott also received rushing touchdowns from Justin McEwen (Meriden, Conn.) and Kyle Borey (Clifton, Park, N.Y.), while Ryan Nelson (Mendon, Mass.) hauled in McManaway's six-yard touchdown pass at 12:14 of the third (Endicott 38-10).

Endicott scored at least 14 points in every quarter and a game-high 21 points in the third.
