CCC FOOTBALL WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Three members of the Endicott football program have earned Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Sunday. John Kenney (Wilmington, Mass.) was named the CCC Football Offensive Player and Offensive Rookie of the Week, while George Balian (Burlington, Mass.) received Defensive Player of the Week honors and Nick DiCairano (Trumbull, Conn.) garnered Special Teams Player of the Week laurels.

In a 27-24 win over Hobart last Saturday, Kenney's 128 rushing yards were a major piece in the Gulls' victory. He ran 25 times for a 5.1 yards per attempt average with his longest run going for 27 yards. Kenney also had one touchdown and helped seal the game with an 11-yard rush to Hobart's 4-yard line allowing his team to run out the clock.

Meanwhile, Balian had a career-high 10 tackles against Hobart. Six of his tackles were solo stops, while four others were assisted. Balian also put the punctuation mark on the victory by breaking up Hobart's final pass attempt of the game allowing the Gulls to get the ball back and run out the clock.

Lastly, DiCairano contributed nine points to Endicott's victory over Hobart. He was perfect on his kicking attempts going 2-for-2 on field goals and 3-for-3 on extra points. His first field goal was a 27-yarder that gave Endicott a 10-0 lead. Later in the game, he hit a 41-yarder. DiCairano, who is 8-for-8 on his field goal attempts this season, is the only kicker in NCAA Division III to be perfect on seven attempts or more in 2018.
