2016 NEFC ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott football team has placed 27 student-athletes on the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office earlier today. Over the last five seasons, the Gulls have had 160 student-athletes named to the NEFC Academic All-Conference list.

To qualify for the NEFC All-Academic Team, players must have completed at least three semesters at the same institution and maintained a cumulative 3.0 or better grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

193 student-athletes in total received NEFC Academic All-Conference honors this season, which tied last year's number. MIT led all programs with 40 selections, while conference champion Western New England and runner-up Salve Regina finished in a tie for second with 32 qualifiers. Endicott ranked fourth on the list (27), while Coast Guard rounded out the top-5 with 21 honorees.

Highlighting the list individually for Endicott were Craig Anderson (Franklin, Mass.), Thomas Connors (Amesbury, Mass.), Greg Cummings (South Easton, Mass.), Christian Martinez (Traiffville, Conn.), and Jake Pelletier (Trumbull, Conn.) as all five student-athletes picked up their third career NEFC Academic All-Conference honor.

In 2016, Endicott posted a 5-5 record overall and 5-2 mark in NEFC play.
