Jesse Simoni Named NEFC Defensive Rookie Of The Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman cornerback Jesse Simoni (East Greenbush, N.Y.) has been named the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Defensive Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

In Saturday's game against Coast Guard Academy, Simoni recorded five solo tackles and also notched his second career interception to aid Endicott to a 28-17 win over the Bears.

Including this week's award, Simoni is now a three-time NEFC Defensive Rookie of the Week. The Gulls have also witnessed Travis Bounsy (West Newbury, Mass.) and Grayson Maddux (Park City, Utah) claim the honor on two different occasions, respectively, this season.

NEFC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL RECIPIENTS

Joe Kalosky | Freshman | Quarterback | Plymouth, Conn.

Kalosky guided Endicott to a 28-17 win over Coast Guard Academy on Saturday by throwing for 251 yards and two touchdowns via 23 completions (36 attempts, 63.9%, one interception).

Chris Lipscomb | Senior | Wide Receiver | West Springfield, Mass.

Lipscomb was the difference in Endicott's 28-17 win over Coast Guard on Saturday as the senior wideout hauled in eight catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns. His eight catches and 136 yards were career-highs, while his two scores matched his career-high total from the Gulls' win over Nichols earlier this season.

Brett Fox | Junior | Punter | Niantic, Conn.

Fox helped manage the field position matchup in Endicott's 28-17 win over Coast Guard on Saturday as the junior punter compiled 213 yards on five attempts for an average of 42.6 (long 53, one inside-20).

William Rivera | Sophomore | Inside Linebacker | Orangeburg, N.Y.

Rivera paced Endicott in tackles with eight, which included one for a loss, in the Gulls' 28-17 win over Coast Guard on Saturday.
