2012 New England Football Writers DII/DIII All-Stars

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Junior placekicker and punter Dylan Rushe (Palos Verdes, Calif.) was among the 28 gridiron players recognized on the 2012 New England Football Writers DII/DIII All-New England Team for his efforts in leading the Gulls to a 9-2 overall record and the program's second  consecutive ECAC North Atlantic Bowl victory.

Rushe, who over the course of his first three collegiate seasons has established himself as one of the nation's premiere placekickers, stood out in 2012 in the punting game with a 40.8 yards per punt average.  Seventeen of his 39 punts landed inside the opposition's 20-yard-line with just two touchbacks.

Twice this season Rushe delivered a punt of over 60 yards including a program record 69-yard blast on October 27th against divisional rival Western New England from Endicott's own 23-yard-line down to the Golden Bears eight-yard-line.  Rushe also placed three punts inside the Western New England 20 in a highly offensive game.

In Endicott's season opener against future NEFC champions Framingham State, Rushe had a season-high four punts inside the 20-yard-line in a Gulls 34-7 victory over the Rams.  The junior also had a 56-yard punt in the game.

Rushe was previously been named a NEFC All-Boyd Division First Team Kicker and Punter.  He racked up 88 points on 11-of-18 field goals and a perfect 55-of-55 on point after attempts as the team's primary placekicker.  With 271 career points Rushe became Endicott's all-time leader in scoring, passing former running back Mike Lane '12 (218 points).
