BEVERLY, Mass. - Junior defensive back Andrew Lawson (Framingham, Mass.) accounted for three of Endicott's seven forced turnovers in a 34-7 win over Framingham State in week one and for his efforts, the NEFC named Lawson the Defensive Player of the Week.

Lawson picked off two different Framingham State quarterbacks three times, including one pick that he returned 50 yards for a score in the fourth quarter to solidify the Gulls' season opening win.  Lawson entered yesterday's game with zero career interceptions.

Lawson also tied an Endicott record previously set by Orlando Johnson, Michael Farrell, and Jesse Blackwell for most interceptions in a single game with three.

Dylan Rushe Gulls junior kicker and punter Dylan Rushe (Palos Verdes, Calif.) earned a nod on the NEFC's Honor Roll after drilling field gals of 50 and 30 yards, pinning the Rams inside their own 20 with four punts and placing two of his seven kickoffs inside the end zone for touchbacks.

Lawson, Rushe, and the rest of the Gulls return to action on Saturday, September 8th for their home opener against Castleton State.  Kickoff is at noon.
