In what has been a season to remember for the 2010 Endicott football team, the accolades for athletic excellent on the field continue to roll in as D3Football.com has named four Endicott football players to the All-East Region Team.

One of the top placekickers in the nation in 2010, freshman Dylan Rushe (Palos Verdes, Calif.) earned a spot on the All-East Region Offensive First Team after converting 14-of-19 field goal attempts ranking him among the nation’s leaders in that category. Rushe, also NEFC Boyd First Team member, was a perfect 39-for-39 on point-after attempts. The freshman was Endicott’s leading scorer with a team-high 81 points. On kickoffs, Rushe averaged 55.7 yards per kickoff.

Junior defensive lineman Kevin Eagan (East Hartford, Conn.) added to his hardware collection with an All-East Region Defensive Second Team nod. Eagan, named the NEFC Boyd Defensive Player of the Year as well as a New England Football Writers Association DII/III All-Star, led the Gulls in tackling with 94 takedowns, including 45 of the solo variety. Eighteen of his tackles went for a loss as the junior recorded a team-high eight sacks. Eagan also forced two fumbles, recovered one, and blocked a kick. His six pass breakups were good for second on the team. Nationally, Eagan ranked 32nd in the nation in tackles for a loss per game (1.50).

A pair of juniors made the All-East Region Offensive Third Team as tight end Taylor Allen (Westboro, Mass.) and offensive lineman Nick Molinari (Staten Island, N.Y.) were each given the honor following their impressive 2010 performances. Allen, a NEFC Boyd First Team honoree, finished with a team-high seven touchdown receptions and third on the team with 32 catches. Molinari, also a NEFC Boyd First Team member, was part of a Gulls offensive line that allowed just 13 sacks on the season and was a catalyst for the running game to the tune of 131.6 yards per game.
