Kozlowski, Lane make NEFC Honor Roll

Beverly, Mass. - Two Endicott football players who played a crucial role in Saturday's Boyd Division-clinching win over MIT have been named to the weekly honor roll by the New England Football Conference (NEFC).  Freshman linebacker \#Nick Kozlowski\# (Beverly, Mass.) and junior running back \#Mike Lane\# (Medfield, Mass.) helped the Gulls defeat the Engineers 38-7 in the final regular season home game of the year.

Kozlowski finished with six tackles, including a pair of solo stops and one for a loss.  Kozlowski intercepted a pass on MIT's first drive of the game and returned the pick down to the Engineers' eight yard line.  On the next play, Lane carried the ball into the end zone to put the Gulls on top 7-0.  The freshman linebacker also recovered a fourth quarter fumble deep in Endicott territory, halting MIT's 74 yard drive.  The Blue and Green capitalized on the turnover, marching 91 yards for a touchdown to put the game out of reach.

Lane carried the ball 35 times for a season-high 222 yards and three touchdowns.  The junior running back added a pair of receptions for 16 yards in the win.  Lane scored on an eight yard carry in the first quarter before scoring on carries of 57 and 11 yards.  Through ten games, he has rushed for 1,080 yards and six touchdowns.

Endicott clinched the NEFC Boyd Division for the first time in program history on Saturday.  This Saturday, the Gulls travel to Maine Maritime (8-1, 6-1 NEFC Bogan) with a conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth on line.
