Women's Volleyball and Soccer Are Commonwealth Coast Conference Champions

The women's soccer team defeated visiting Salve Regina University, 4-1 on Saturday, capturing back-to-back CCC titles for the first time in the program's history. With the win, the Gulls earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament and for the second year in a row Endicott will host the first round game. Tournament play will begin on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the stadium versus Williams College. If the Gulls win on Wednesday they will travel to Wheaton College on Saturday for an 11 a.m. second round game.

The women's volleyball team remained undefeated in conference play, beating Colby-Sawyer College 3-2, in the CCC championship match Saturday. This marks the first women's volleyball conference title in school history. The team also earns an automatic NCAA bid and will face No. 6 Emmanuel in the opening round Thursday at 7:00 p.m in Williamstown, MA. Williams College will host the entire New England Regional Tournament. If the No. 3 Gulls win on Thursday they will play Friday at 4:30 p.m. versus No. 2 Springfield.

Playing in the CCC finals for the third year in a row, the field hockey team lost a heartbreaker to New England College, 2-1, Saturday. The Gulls 14-7 record helped them receive their third consecutive ECAC tournament bid. On Wednesday the No. 3 seeded Gulls will travel to No. 6 seeded Clark for a 4:00 p.m. matchup.

The football team wrapped up their 2004 season with a 47-17 win over visiting MIT. The team finishes with a 6-4 record and a 5-1 NEFC Boyd Division record, marking the first winning season in the programs history. With the win, the team clinched 2nd place in the Boyd Division.
