CCC Nominations (10/4/03)

In the sixth week of fall play, Endicott student-athletes continue to represent the college in the Commonwealth Coast Conference nominations for their exceptional performances.

In a thrilling victory over Framingham State, freshman field hockey goalkeeper Erin Curry made 12 saves, helping the Gulls improve their overall record to 7-4. As a result of her outstanding play, the Hampstead, NH native was selected as Rookie of the Week.

Sophomore Killeen Rose (Ballston Lake, NY) of the women's volleyball team earned her second nomination for Player of the Week. In Endicott's 2-1 week, Rose had 20 kills and 42 digs, and as a result, merited her Honor Roll recognition. For the third week in a row, Rose's teammate, freshman Sara Moore (Guilford, CT) exhibited play that was deserving of conference recognition. The fourth week of play, Moore was named Rookie of the Week for her accomplishments. Continuing to compete at a high level, Moore was nominated again, thus placing her on the Rookie Honor Roll list. Moore had 18 kills and eight blocks in the past 2-1 week, and as a result she was once again on the Honor Roll.

Representing women's soccer is sophomore Jill Zagura. The Hudson, MA native scored four goals in EC's victory over Regis College. Playing in the outside midfield position, Zagura helped the Gulls continue their impressive undefeated conference play.
