ORLANDO, Fla. — For the first time in program history, the Endicott dance team finished in the top-5 in both the Open Pom and Open Jazz categories at the 2019 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship this past weekend. The Gulls historic weekend featured a fourth place performance in jazz and a fifth place showing in pom.

"Our two chants this year are 'ECDT, Do the Work!' and "Best Year Yet!' and that's exactly what happened," said Endicott dance head coach Nicole Sao Pedro-Welch. "I honestly couldn't be more proud. Being top-4 and top-5 in the NATION is a testament to this team's hard work, leadership, and school pride. GO GULLS!"

It's been another banner year for the dance team, emphasis on another, as the Gulls earned the title of "Best in the Northeast" earlier this month (1/14) by capturing first place honors in both College Open Jazz and College Open Pom disciplines at the UDA Battle of the Northeast Championship in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey.

Endicott will also look to claim its ninth straight UDA New England Regional title in the coming months to add its already impressive 2018-19 campaign.
