Dance Program Wins Seventh Straight UDA New England Regional Title

The Endicott dance team showcases their championship trophies at New England Regionals.

WESTFIELD, Mass. – On Sunday, February 26, the Endicott dance team captured its seventh straight Universal Dance Association (UDA) New England Regional title on the campus of Westfield State University against Division II and III colleges from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and New York.

The Gulls also received first place honors in Open Jazz and Open Pom, as well as the Best Choreography Award for their jazz routine. Endicott's first place performances in Open Jazz and Open Pom also marked the second year in a row that the Gulls swept both disciplines. In total, there were 14 teams who competed in Open Jazz and six teams in Open Pom.

"Coach Lauren Duddy and I are very proud of the consistent work this team has put forth since May," said Endicott dance head coach Nicole Sao Pedro-Welch. "We are happy that we were able to conclude our competition season with this big win!"
