Crew Competes At Quinsigamond Snake Regatta Over The Weekend

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Endicott club crew team competed in two events over the weekend at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta.

In the women's varsity 4, the Gulls finished 16th overall with a time of 20:39.633, while the men's varsity 4 posted a time of 18:13.699 for 20th place in their event.

Competing in the men's varsity 4 were Quinn Simek (Kingston, N.Y.), Addison Culupa (Jericho, Vt.), Jesse Gottesdiener (Newton, Mass.), Maximilian Schreiner (Rhede, Germany), and competing in the women's varsity 4 were Brenna Shanahan (Shelton, Conn.), Claire McKinnon (Boston, Mass.), Kendra Kirby (Redding, Conn.), and Sarah Burola (Albany, N.Y.). MaryAnn Samson (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) served as the coxswain for both lineups.

"I'm happy with the progress in the women's boat, and it was also good to get one under our belt on the men's side," said Endicott club crew head coach John Leekley. "The Head of the Charles next weekend is a big weekend for rowers and we want to put the best possible foot forward."

Endicott will compete in the 52nd Annual Head of the Charles on Sunday, October 23 in Cambridge, Mass.
