At the annual NECRL coaches meeting this past week, Crew Coach Brian Chorney established the creation of Endicott's first ever Home Erg Race on Sunday, February 7 from 1:30-5:30 PM. Modeled after a fundraising event Coach Chorney organized as a collegiate rower, the race will help raise money for the club and serve as the perfect percursor to the much larger and more competitive "Crash B" World Indoor Rowing Championships at Boston University, on Sunday, February 14 (EC rowers scheduled competition times will be posted when known).
Additionally, the crew team will participate in a regatta on Sunday, April 11 on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, hosted by Assumption College, then again on Sunday, April 25 on the Mystic/Malden River in Somerville, hosted by Wentworth. The New England Rowing Championships, hosted by the ECAC will be next on the horizon, scheduled for Saturday, May 1, also in Worcester. Finally, the season will wrap up with the NECRL (New England Collegiate Rowing League) Championships on Sunday, May 2, again on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA.
