BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's ice hockey team traveled to Northeastern on Thursday evening for their second meeting of the season. Despite strong play by senior Alex Dodds (Grantham, N.H.) and newcomer Alex Bonito (Buffalo, N.Y.) the Gulls fell 7-2. Endicott falls to 8-8-3 on the season as they look ahead to tomorrow, February 7th as they compete in their final game of the season at Boston University at 7:00 p.m.

The start of the game was an absolute battle. The Huskies got on the board first as Scott Derrickson (Danvers, Mass.) made a play to goal at the 11 minute mark. Two minutes later Dodds tied up the game after working to goal with freshman Kyle Webb (Reading, Mass.) for a 1-1 score. Minutes later the Huskies answered, taking back the lead off a goal by Andrew Brandano (North Reading, Mass.) on a power play opportunity to claim the 2-1 lead entering the first intermission.

To start off the second period the Blue and Green again made it a tie game at 2 apiece with a goal from Bonito off a crisp feed from sophomore Cameron Randles (Canyon Country, Calif.). The Gulls goal would be the last as Northeastern powered away with five straight goals for the victory after goaltender Nick Russo (Waltham, Mass.) had to leave the game due to injury.

In the last meeting with Boston University the Terriers claimed the 6-1 victory back in November.
