HAMILTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's ice hockey team competed with league opponent, Bryant University twice over the weekend. On Friday night the Gulls traveled to the Bulldogs and claimed a 6-2 victory. The following day Endicott hosted Bryant and took a 3-2 victory off a game winner by senior Alex Dodds (Grantham, N.H.) in the third period. Endicott improves to 4-1-2 on the season as they look forward to Saturday, November 1st as they host league opponent Boston College at 7:30 p.m. at the Pingree School.

The Blue and Green started out the Patriot East, ACHA league play this weekend with their two victories over Bryant. In the impressive game one victory some key goals in the 6-2 triumph came from sophomore Cameron Randles (Canyon Country, Calif.), senior Ryan Hansen (West Haven, Conn.) and freshman Kyle Webb (Reading, Mass.).

The following day in Gulls territory the Bulldogs skated a tougher battle as the Gulls just earned the 3-2 edge. In the first period, Bryant took the early 1-0 lead as Anthony Dellaquila (Rocky Hill, Conn.) found the back of the net off an assist from Nicholas Gerlach (Greenville, R.I.).

The second period brought three goals, two being from the Blue and Green. The Bulldogs increased the lead to two as Gerlach finished a play with Dellaquila and Jonathan Satell (Simsbury, Conn.). One minute later Endicott tallied their first of the game after sophomore Tim Boyle (Hingham, Mass.) found the back of the net after finishing a play by Dodds and junior Dylan Costa (Lynnfield, Mass.).

Just over a minute later the Gulls made it a tie game as Webb, Randles and senior Jake Rand (Winthrop, Mass.) made a crisp possession as Webb finished up the play for his first goal of the season. Both sides continued to work their respective zones as the second period ended in a stalemate at 2-2.

After battling to break the tie for the first chunk of the third period, with 10 minutes remaining in regulation the Blue and Green finally broke the tie for the game winner. Dodds, Boyle and freshman Lucian DiMarco (Glastonbury, Conn.) skated to goal and made a couple quick passes that ended with Dodd blasting a shot into the back of the net to seal the victory.

Between the pipes for the Blue and Green was sophomore Nick Russo (Waltham, Mass.) who came out with some impressive stops in the one goal victory.
